An evening that we will remember forever. After heading over to Central Park to eat a reuben at a deli, we all boarded the bus for our 5:15 pm rehearsal at Carnegie Hall! You could feel the excitement on the bus on the way over!
And here we are!! It is absolutely magical. You feel so small in this space and all together we take up the whole stage! Today our sound became a part of this auditorium’s great history. I didn’t realize the importance of the organ in the work until the sound unit was behind me. How beautiful to hear the harmonic shifts as Professor Adkins plays every chord. The New England Symphonic Ensemble has as a glorious sound that complements the expressivity of the choir. The audience is in for a real treat! 🙂
After the performance, there were tears of joy and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. We all spent a year preparing for this and it was worth every minute. We could not have done this without the support of the Mars Hill community. We are forever grateful. Forever.
